            THOMAS (Thomas Henry)

           British artist and portrait painter, illustrator,  frequently working in watercolor.

          Born in Penygarn in 1839, Thomas studied art under Fr. St. Cary in London.   He later lived and worked mainly in Cardiff where he died in 1915. 

          Thomas is cited in the Bénézit, international dictionary of artists.
